Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo , Chairman Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Environment has enjoined all Nigerians especially the constituted authorities to use the stay-at-home period to embark on self-recollection and self-introspection .

Ibuzo said rather than wallow in frivolities in this self-quarantine season , it is proper for citizens to think positive as well as suggest possible ways out of the nation’s present public health quacmire .

The Onitsha-North 2 House of Assembly representative who bared his mind on the worldwide viral infection during an exclusive interview with our correspondent, emphasized that although Covid19 was currently posing serious threats to the entire world , there was need for a concerted effort to truimph against the killer virus .

The lawmaker said , ” morally , this is a time for self-recollection . That you are meant to sit at home does not mean you should be lazy with your brains . You have to think positive because we have seen almost a shutdown of the world . “

” so we have been mandated by nature to rediscover ourselves during this stay-at-home period to engender a better society as we win the war against coronavirus disaster ” Ibuzo added .

He was however of the opinion that old people seemed to be more susceptible to the coronavirus pandemic , pointing out that the Nigerian governnent consist mostly of old people which is why the lawmaker believes that there is a dire need for sober-reflection and self-introspection amidst covid19 crisis .

The lawmaker stated that as part of his constituency programme aimed at preventing the spread of the dreaded coronavirus in his constituency , he has distributed preventive materials such as hand washing buckets, hand gloves, face masks, hand sanitizers, soap and a host of others.
