Lagos to drop charges against Naira Marley, Gbadamosi

LAGOS State government has agreed to drop all charges against popular Nigerian singer Naira Marley and former governorship candidate of Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Lagos State, BabatundeGbadamosi and his wife, Folashade.

  The gesture followed admittance of guilt by all the defendants and their acceptance to write a letter of apology to the Lagos State.

  They also agreed to issue an undertaking to comply with all directives on lockdown and social distancing, including a staying in isolation for the next 14 days.

  There are still three other conditions to be fulfilled by the defendants, which halted their arraignment before Ikeja Magistrate Court sitting in Ogba today.

It will be recalled that Naira Marley and Gbadamosi had on Monday turned themselves in to police after disobeying the state government on social gathering by attending birthday party of Nollywood actress, FunkeAkindele Bello in celebration of her husband’s birthday.
