Anambra COVID-19 Fund receives N2m donation

MORE donations are going for Anambra COVID-19 Fund to support the state government’s fight against the global pandemic.

The latest donation  came from an Anambra-born business man, Chief Austin Oguejiofor, who donated N2 million.

The donation was received by Secretary to Anambra State Government (SSG), Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu at Government House, Awka yesterday.

Chukwulobelu thanked the donor and assured that government will continue to ensure judicious use of monies and other items donated to the Fund by individuals, corporate organisations and other groups.

Speaking while presenting the cheque, Oguejiofor, who was represented by Anthony Obieze, said he was motivated by Gov. Willie Obiano’s untiring efforts at tracking the global pandemic from Anambra State at minimal cost.

Stating that government cannot fight the scourge alone, Oguejiofor called on other well-meaning individuals to support Gov. Obiano.
