Fight against COVID-19 requires joint effort – Man ‘O’ War

SENIOR Inspector, `Man ‘O’ War Nigeria’, Uchenna Arinze has suggested that the fight against COVID-19 pandemic will require combined efforts of all Ndi Anambra in the state.

  Mr Arinze said this when Information Officers on monitoring mission met him at a check point under the Upper Iweka Bridge, Onitsha, on April 15.

“For success of the fight against Coronavirus to be assured, all hands must be on deck; Ndi Anambra should not leave it in the hands of only the government alone.”

According to him, everyone will need to see this as clarion call to save our state from the deadly disease; that is the reason why my unit is on duty here.

“If you cannot provide palliatives to the less privileged or contribute financially in support of the government; you can at least help by obeying government order to `sit at home’ for the time being and observe other guidelines by National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and state Health Ministry.”

Mr Arinze said they work in collaboration with the Nigerian Police and other security agencies in enforcing peace in the area.

Another colleague, Inspector Innocent Awoke praised the impressive way government had been handling the situation so far.
