COVID 19 fight: Oko monarch lauds Obiano



TRADITIONAL ruler of Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area, Igwe Laz Ekwueme has commended Anambra Government for proactive measures in combating spread of coronavirus in the state. 

  The royal father made the commendation in an interview with at his palace in Ezioko, Oko.

  “Our governor has done very well. Anambra State has been fantastic. We should thank the state government for a job well done.”

  “The federal government, Ministry of Health, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the state government have been wonderful and I praise them too.”

According to him, everybody knows that the governor has made so much effort and has also given directives on how people will live in this critical period.

  “People should observe social distancing, washing of hands, use of hand sanitisers and most importantly, staying at home,” the royal father admonished.

  He stressed that whatever precautionary measures government had been undertaking was to the benefit of all concerned.

  Igwe Ekwueme notes: “Anybody who still doesn’t believe that coronavirus is real is living in a fool’s paradise.

  “It is in the report every day and government has done very well in fighting the pandemic.”

  He thanked government for COVID-19 palliatives received by his community from the state government, stressing that more would still need to be done.

  He urged the people of Oko to continue to pray and observe all government directives against the pandemic.
