Nigeria records 64 new COVID-19



… Total, now 1337 cases

NIGERIA recorded 64 new cases of the novel coronavirus yesterday to bring the country’s total toll to 1337.

  Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed the development in a tweet via posted on its official Twitter handle.

  According to the post, 34 of the new infections were recorded in Lagos, 15 in Abuja FCT, 11 in Borno, and 2 each in Taraba and Gombe State.

  The country’s death toll from the virus still stands at 40 while 255 have recovered.

  More than 2,997,540 cases were registered in 193 countries and territories. Of these cases, at least 818,700 are now considered recovered.

  The tallies were marked by data collected from national authorities and information from World Health Organisation (WHO) which may be a conservative account of actual infection rate.
