Anambra APGA distributes COVID-19 stimulus packages

THE All progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has distributed various medical and food items worth millions of naira to the 326 political wards, 21 local government areas and motherless babies’ homes in the state.

  In a press release issued at the Anambra State headquarter of the party in Awka, signed by  Emma Adibe, the state chairman of the party, Sir Norbert Obi listed the items for distribution to Ndi Anambra to include 5,000 bags of 10kg rice, 6,500 bags of 5kg rice, 200 bags of 50kg rice, 2140 cartons of tummy-tummy noodles, 12,000  bottles of 60ml hand sanitisers, 1000 bottles of 250ml hand sanitisers, 10,000 bottles of 50ml hand sanitisers and 326 bags of beans.

  Sir Norbert said an 11 man committee constituted by the National Chairman of the party, Ozomkpu Victor Ike Oye has been mandated to ensure equitable distribution of the stimulus packages designed to bring relief to Ndi Anambra and APGA faithful, who like the counterparts across the world are being hit hard by the lockdown orders aimed at curtailing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

  Sir Norbert charged the APGA local government party chairmen and executives to diligently share the items to ameliorate the sufferings of party members at this crucial period of economic hardship all over the world.

   He also enjoined everyone to continue to abide by all the government directives on COVID – 19 by maintaining good hygiene at all times while also ensuring that everyone maintains social distancing, washing of hands regularly and using sanitisers as well as using face masks to avoid contracting the dreaded disease.

  The state APGA chairman who expressed profound gratitude to God that despite the ravaging effect of the deadly virus in Nigeria and the world at large, Anambra State has remained safe, attributed the safety being enjoyed in the state to stringent measures put in place by the Obiano administration to safeguard the state.

  He commended all the good spirited and well-meaning individuals and organisations that have responded to the passionate call for assistance by the state government at this time of great need, stressing the need for all to be their brothers and sisters keepers in keeping with the motto of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
