Anambra Speaker lauds Obiano as work commences in Ayamelum road

GOVERNOR Willie M. Obiano has mobilized a contractor to commence work in Ayamelum access road amid coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic raverging the world’s economy.

  The federal road (trunk A), measured 6.3 kilometers, had been on its deplorable state for over eight years after the 2012 intense-flood devalued quality of the road and proned it to total worn-out.

  Recall that Governor Obiano made this promise during his reelection rally in Anaku on October 30, 2017, stating  that when reelected; he would do everything humanly possible to ensure that the bewailing road will be constructed by his administration despite the fact that it is the responsibility of the federal government to carryout trunk A road projects.

  Inspecting the road , the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly and Member, representing Ayamelum Constituency, Uche Victor Okafor who attracted the project, expressed deep sense of soulagement and described Governor Obiano as a visionary leader who prioritises the yearns of the citizenry and ameliorates them through keeping to his promises.

He also lauded the military engineers that will carry out the project from ground zero until completed with good system drainages.
