Prices of vital necessities increased – Maduka



I will sincerely say that there was no positive effect on me but rather, a negative one.

  The lockdown came with no palliative or alternative solution. The prices of conspicuous necessities increased, the public power supply was epileptic. Markets were closed and I had no option than to run down my stocks and little savings.

The closure of churches complicated the whole issue as churches which ought to guarantee eternal life were also closed, but hospitals which we are not even sure of saving earthly life were functioning.

It was a bitter experience and of negative impact considering also that we are ill equipped to handle the pandemic. (Olisa Maduka, University Don)
