Anambra holds first online Exco meeting

ANAMBRA State yesterday successfully held its bi-weekly Executive Council Meeting (EXCO) meeting online.

   This is in furtherance of Gov. Willie Obiano’s social distancing measures in the fight to stop the global COVID-19 pandemic from spreading in the state.

The meeting which was presided over by the Gov. Obiano had all EXCO members in virtual attendance and making robust contributions to deliberations on the major issues of the day.

  Speaking in a brief introductory remark, Gov. Obiano sexplained Anambra’s first online meeting of the Executive Council members as a major component of the overall strategy of the state to lead the campaign for a new way of doing things under the strains of COVID-19.

  The meeting touched on several burning issues in the state, ranging from the steps being taken by the government to prevent the spread of the rampaging pandemic in the state to distribution of palliative materials and steps being taken to ensure that the education sector does not suffer any setback as well as the recent efforts to resume aggressive rehabilitation urban and rural roads in the state after a short break.
