Foreign Affairs Minister donates palliative in Enugu

NIGERIA’S Foreign Affairs Minister,  Geoffrey Onyeama, hasdonated medical equipment to the Government of Enugu State to help in its fight against the pandemic of coronavirus.

  Onyeama donated food items to orphanages, members of All Progressive Congress (APC}, and other people of the state. Medical items donated by the minister were infrared thermometer, safety goggles, COVID-19 test kits.

  He said for the people of Nigeria to overcome this time demanded the support of every Nigerian since everyone had become vulnerable.

  The minister who was represented by an APC chieftain in the state, Deacon Okey Ogbodo,  stated that everyone has been touched by the virus in one way or the other either from the political, religious, business or working class.

  He also said that the federal government was doing everything within its ability to combat the pandemic, stressing the easing of the lockdown was a clear sign that their efforts are yielding positive results.

  He promised that the foundation would continue to “create smiles on vulnerable people”, saying that for the fight of the virus to be successful the people should abide by the hygiene protocols.

  Enugu State Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr Ifeanyi Agujiobi,  who received the items on behalf of the state government,  lauded the minister for benevolence, adding that it will go a long way in assisting the state government in its fight against the virus, assuring him of the government’s support.

  The distribution of the palliative was in confluence with the Kwusike Foundation and Kwusike Political Family in Enugu State.
