Group lauds Obiano’s anti-pandemic strategies



A SOCIO-CULTURAL association of Anambra indigenes living in Baltimore United States has lauded Gov. Willie Obiano’s strategies in the fight against the global coronavirus pandemic from Anambra State.

   The group known as Anambra State Association in Baltimore Metropolitan gave the commendation while donating medical supplies estimated at N4million to Anambra State.

   According to them, the donation was made to support Gov. Obiano in the fight against COVID-19.

Commending the group while receiving the donation on behalf of Gov. Obiano, Secretary to Anambra State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, noted that the association had shown age-long Igbo way fraternizing with the home front in times of need.

   Earlier while making the donation on behalf of his group, leader of ASA Baltimore, USA, Joseph, said donation was in appreciation of Obiano’s efforts in building a formidable state where safety, economic and social welfare are promoted.

   Also in their separate remarks, the Members Representing Njikoka

  Constituencies I and II of Anambra House of Assembly, Tim Ifedioramma and Pete Ibida, extolled ASA Baltimore, USA as exemplar.

  According to them, Gov. Obiano will always count on their support.

Items donated by the association included 10,800  pieces of face masks, 100 sets of gowns, goggles and surgical masks, 200 pieces of N-95 masks, 50 pieces of face shields, 300 pieces of surgical masks, 100 bottles of 500ml of hand sanitisers and 200 pieces of hand gloves.
