Orsumoghu elects new king after 35 years

IT WAS a season of jubilation for Osumoghu people in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State as Pharm Elochukwu Mbanefo, Igwe Ozulu Oha II becomes the traditional ruler of the community after the death of their previous king 35year ago.

  The nomination which went in accordance with the community and government guidelines of selecting a king attracted all the illustrous sons and dauthers of Osumoghu.

  Addressing the teeming supporters, the Igwe-elect attributed his wining to God. “I am delighted to be selected as the traditional ruler of this community which has existed for 35 years without a king,

  He expressed gratitude to the community for founding him worthy to pilot the affairs of the town, promising not not disappoint them.

  The monarch stressed that his nomination was not done only by his village but by entire Osumoghu community.

  Mbanefo described Osumoghu as a great town blessed by God where people do things with one accord, mutual understanding, peace and love which has been the secret guideing and sustaining the community for years.

  He pledged to govern the community with fear of God and eject all forms of discrimination to enable them restore peace and tranquility, urging them to feel free to table their matters before him.

  He also promised that his tenure will attract more development to the community and urged them to join hands and support his tenure so as to move the community forward.
