Kogi conducted only one COVID-19 test – NCDC



THE Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday has published the number of COVID-19 tests conducted around the country.

  According to NCDC a total of 35,983 samples have been tested in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

  Kogi and Cross River, the two states yet to record any positive case, have the lowest test numbers with one and seven respectively. All tests conducted in both states returned negative.

  Lagos state has tested the highest number of persons with 14,886 samples tested, followed by the FCT and Kano with 4,688 and 2,653 respectively.

  The NCDC had visited Kogi in the first week of May, but the state claimed the agency’s officials “fled” the state when they were asked to undergo tests for COVID-19.
