More groups identify with Anambra’s anti-coronavirus campaign

MORE groups have continued to identify with Gov. Willie Obiano’s fight against COVID-19 in Anambra State, with the latest being Onitsha Chapter of Society of Printing Practitioners of Nigeria (SPPN).

  The group said they will continue to partner the state government in driving COVID-19 messages to the grassroots.

  They made the promise during the presentation of copies of “Situation Report on The Fight against COVID-19 in Anambra State” to the state government.

  Speaking while receiving copies of the publication, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu described it as a unique contribution to the fight against the pandemic.

  He called on the association to do more in empowering the youths, discouraging capital flight and book piracy as well as other unwholesome practices from members.

  Also, while presenting the publication, Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C. Don Adinuba said the publication will go a long way in supporting the fight against COVID-19 , especially at the phase of community searching.

He promised that the publication will be distributed in public places, especially churches, markets and motor parks.

Noting that ndi-Anambra have been cooperative in the fight against COVID-19, Adinuba regretted few individuals who endanger people’s life by neglecting   directives and protocols that strive to containing the pandemic.

  Earlier while delivering the documents, National President of SPPN and former Government House Printer, Nwora Egbuniwe and the group’s chairman in Anambra State, Ethel Obidinso, the group said their gesture is aimed at enlightening the public on policies and programmes in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
