George Floyd: Killer cop, Chavin’s wife files for divorce



Nemesis seems to be catching up fast on George Floyd’s killer cop, Derek Chauvin as his wife Kellie Chauvin files for divorce after Derek was charged with murder.

   Amid ongoing massive protest in the US, killer cop, Derek Chauvin’s problems got compounded after getting dismissed following revelation of his cruel murder of George Floyd  through photo footages; the wife Kellie Chauvin has filled for divorce.

Kellie Chauvin, said she has filed for a divorce from her marriage of ten years to Derek.

Disclosing this through her lawyer, Kellie requested for protection and privacy for herself and her immediate family.

Announcing the development Kellie’s lawyer said, “My client wants protection and privacy for herself and her immediate family.”

According to her lawyer, Kellie who has no children from her current marriage has cited safety and privacy as reasons for seeking divorce.

“I spoke with Kellie Chauvin and her family. She is devastated by Mr. Floyd’s death and her utmost sympathy lies with his family, with his loved ones and with everyone who is grieving this tragedy. She has filed for dissolution of her marriage to Derek Chauvin,” the attorney said.

It will be recalled that Derek Chauvin, an embattled former Minneapolis police officer charged with the murder of a Black man George Floyd, has seen his life tragically slumped into the cesspit of crisis as his wife has pressed for divorce. Floyd’s death generated a vortex of racism-related criticisms trailed by massive protests in the United States with Chauvin’s action leading to his dismissal from the US police force.

Video footages of Chauvin kneeling on Floyd’s neck for minutes while arresting him on Monday, May 25 went viral.

Floyd became unresponsive during the arrest and was later pronounced dead, an incident that sparked raging storms with Chauvin’s wife, Kellie Chauvin publicly announcing her decision to end her marriage of ten years with embattled former officer.

Report shows Floyd was arrested for allegedly using a fake $20 note in a shop and died after being handcuffed and pinned down by the officer with his knee.
