Teaching-On-Air: Anambra to purchase special cameras to accommodate audio-challenged students



GOVERNOR Willie Obiano has approved the purchase of two special cameras for Anambra Broadcasting Service to enable students with hearing challenges benefit from the ongoing Anambra State-Teaching-On -Air program.

  Special Adviser to the governor on Disability Matters, Chuks Ezewuzie, while disclosing this to newsmen in Awka, commended the Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha for initiating the Teaching- On- Air program which he said, had helped students in Anambra State and around the world to stay connected with their academic programs outside the classroom.

  According to him, the program has gained national commendations and has proved indispensable in this COVID-19 era.

Ezewuzie thanked Governor Obiano for making it possible for the disability community in Anambra State to feel included in the program.

  In his remark, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Sign Language Communications, Mr. Collins Joseph, praised Governor Obiano for his love for disability community in Anambra State, and commended the Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Omenugha and the management of the Anambra Broadcasting Service(ABS) for initiating such a wonderful programme.
