Public Utilities Commissioner applauds govt on COVID-19 fight

ANAMBRA State Commissioner for Public Utilities, Emeka Ezenwanne has applauded Gov. Willie Obiano for being proactive and steadfast in the fight  against COVID-19 pandemic.

  Mr Ezenwanne, an engineer, made the commendation in his office during an interview with Information officers attached to his ministry.

  He urged people of the state to take responsibility and adhere strictly to government’s directive to avoid spread of the disease.

  “Coronavirus must be avoided through personal discipline by washing of hands regularly, use of alcohol-based hand sanitisers and wearing of face masks,” he said.

  Mr Ezenwanne praised the governor for embarking on massive water projects across the state citing examples of recent completion of Obizi Water Scheme as well as Otuocha Water Project.

  “This will help the Ndi Anambra to have adequate water supply to wash their hands regularly.”

  He called on benefitting communities to protect the projects from vandalism.
