Two COVID-19 drugs launched in India today

HOPES of routing-out COVID-19 continues to brighten as yoga guru identified as Baba Ramdev has unveiled two COVID-19 medicines, Coronil and Swasari in India today.

 Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Ramdev said when the drugs were subjected to two trials, 100 per cent of patients recovered.

  According to Ramdev, the drugs are not immunity boosters but COVID-19 cure, assuring that the two medicines work for the deadly coronavirus.

  The medicines are said to be prepared by the combined efforts of Patanjali Research Centre and NIMS.

   “We are launching COVID-19 medicines Coronil and Swasari today. We conducted two trials of these, first clinical controlled study, which took place in Delhi, Ahmedabad, among many other cities. Under this 280 patients were included and 100 per cent of them recovered.”

  Adding, “We were able to control coronavirus and its complications in this. After this, the all-important clinical control trial was conducted.”

  The researcher added that the drugs showed “100 per cent recovery rate within 3-7 days.

  It would be recalled that Nigerian universities’ scientists under the aegis of COVID-19 Research Group was reported to have discovered COVID-19 vaccine.

  The leader of the team Oladipo Kolawole, while unveiling the invention on Friday, stated that the vaccine was being developed locally in Africa for Africans but would also work for other continents when fully developed.

  Meanwhile, official report from the Indian Ministry of Health as well as World Health Organisation’s report on the developmnt is being awaited.
