Gov’s aide commends Anambra Speaker

EXECUTIVE Assistant on Community Liaison to Governor Willie Obiano, Peter Igbanu Anyaegbunam has commended the Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Uche Okafor, for impressive harmonious relationship existing between the executive and the 7th Assembly under his leadership.

 Anyaegbunam made the commendation in a chat with the press on yesterday in Awka, Anambra State, describing Okafor as an icon and ambassador for true democracy.

   While noting that the 7th Assembly in the state has been living up to expectations in her relationship with the executive arm, Anyaegbunam expressed deep appreciation to the house, which he described as a blessing to Anambra State.

  Anyaegbunam, who is a native of Ayamelum Local Government Area, disclosed that Ayamelum people are satisfied with the leadership style of the house which he described as people-focused and grass-root-oriented, stating that Ayamelum Area has been enjoying democratic dividends in terms of infrastructural and human capital development since the emergence of the speaker representing Ayamelum Constituency.

  He said, “if we look back from where we were before  and when Okafor came on board as our representative in the Anambra State House, we, the people of Ayamelum have cause to be thankful to God. He has been playing  excellent role in ensuring that his people get their rightful share in everything.

  “His passion for development and uplift of the young people is second to none as he has been making every effort to ensure that every person in Ayamelum is meaningfully engaged in legitimate suitable job.

  “More importantly, as I commend and appreciate him and the entire members of the 7th Assembly, for the peace and harmonious relationship the present government is enjoying today, I urge them to keep it on; keep supporting the good initiatives of our working Governor Obiano for collective good of ndi-Anambra.”

 The governor’s aide also, reminded the Ayamelum people that the only way they would reciprocate the good work of Okafor and Governor Obiano is by the path of peace and advised them to desist from every heinous act that is capable of truncating the ongoing government projects in the area.
