In Amichi, Ezike’s funeral, tomorrow

ALL is now set for the burial of late Chief Emmanuel Nnaemeka Ezike, whose remains will be interred tomorrow,  July 17, 2020, at his compound, Umudim Village, Amichi, in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

  Born in 1954, the  late Chief Ezike, whose demise occurred on  April 11,2020, was a quintessential Chartered Accountant, an accomplished administrator and a bureaucrat per excellence, who started life from grass to grace, unto the peak of his career.

  In a tribute to the legend, his wife, Mrs. Amaka Ezike, who is also the Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties to the Executive Governor of Anambra State, described him as a man of virtue whose hard work, resilience, commitment, and diligence to duty were his ladder to the top.

  According to her, the hero hated fraud, dishonesty and loose lifestyle with passion, and stood for integrity, exceptional and purposeful lifestyle till the day he departed the world to answer his creator.

  Titled ‘Shutdown and Blackout of a Shooting Star’, the tribute partly reads: “Your wife, children, family, colleagues and society are in shock, saying, “when comes such another?” Your death is a dagger in the hearts of many; but God loves you most.”

  Death, having struck however, the burial of the noble man which holds tomorrow, is slated to start at 10am prompt with church service at his country home, Amichi.

  The family of the deceased, who advised all attendees to the burial to put on their face masks and respect all other COVID-19 safety protocols of the Anambra State Government, also prayed for his peaceful repose in the bosom of the Lord, as his remains is committed to the mother earth.

The late Ezike is survived by wife, children and siblings.
