Ifedioranma reaches out with free medical services



MEMBER representing Njikoka 1 Constituency, Timothy Ifedioranma has organised a free medical outreach for the people of his constituency in line with keeping to his electoral promises of upholding the betterment of the people of his constituency.

  Dr. Ifedioranma who expressed his happiness for the hitch-free exercise said the outreach was apt particularly in the midst of coronavirus pandemic to ensure accessibility to healthcare by the people of his constituency and a healthy constituency. “One of my contributions to the well-being of the people of my constituency is their health which informs the medical outreach. I don’t like leaving people and the system the way I met them but rather leaving them better than their best.” He thanked the people for their comportment during the exercise.

   Earlier, declaring the outreach open, Rev Daniel Okolo Deputy-Mayor, Njikoka Local Government Area extolled the representative virtues and leadership qualities of Mr. Ifedioramma. “If there is a politician to trust in Nigeria, Ifedioramma is that one politician. He always keeps his promise” he declared.

On his own part, the Director, Njikoka Local Government Health Authority, Dr Obi-Udu, expressed happiness on the number of people that graced the programme and praised Ifedioramma, whom he described as “a legislator who’s so much concerned about the health of his constituents.” He furthermore educated ndi Enugwu-Agidi on the importance of observing the World Health Organization’s protocols of COVID-19.

  President-General and Secretary-General of Nawfia Progressive Union (NPU), Chinedu Enenmuo, expressed gratitude for the free medical outreach, “this is not the first time we will be enjoying such a project not just in this town but in the whole constituency. The outreach is a very commendable one at the onset of COVID-19 pandemic where he gave palliatives and free PPE kits.

  “He has been consistent in such and I wish other elective officers would emulate him. I am a beneficiary of the outreach with free medical glasses and other free tests. The prayer of the constituency is that God will continually shine a light not only politically but in every area of his life,” he said.

   Over one thousand people from the three towns of Enugwu-Agidi, Nawfia and Enugwu-Ukwu that made up the constituency benefited from the medical outreach that covered free eye test, surgery, free antenatal services and treatment of various ailments, among others.
