National Light fetes author, Ifeanyi on birthday

IT WAS a joyful celebration as Dr Paul Ifeanyi,  Senior Special Adviser to  Governor Obiano on Secondary School Education  celebrated his birthday at  Anambra Newspapers and Printing Corporation (ANPC).

The event attracted some government officials which included; the ASUBEB Chairman, Mr Patrick Ugbaja, Admin consultant of ANPC, Mr Joe Onugha, among others.

In his remarks, the chief celebrant, Dr Ifeanyi, expressed gratitude for knowing Sir Chuka Nnabuife who had hosted his birthday on his behalf for several years now, stating that his good gesture had made him become regular visitor in the corporation and had  the opportunity to be with its staff and other personalities .

The SA described life as a folded onion which was full of struggle to him as he reflected back to his secondary school , university, and youth service days, including his studies in the US. He also appreciated God for keeping him alive despite his several mistakes in live.

He used the opportunity to state that the late Chinua Achebe, the pioneer Vice Chancellor of National Open University, Prof. Olugbemero Jegede and the former Minister Of Finance, . Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala are the great personnels who had made great impacts in his life including other intellectual experts who taught him  abroad.

The MD/CEO of ANPC, Chuka Nnabuife, who hosted the celebrant in his office said that he was one of the well recognised and conserved friends of the organisation.

“Dr. Ifeanyi is one of us and we are happy that he is advancing in age. In the spirit of comradeship, we extend what we do here to every member of this organisation to him. As he is hosting us here we are partaking in the banquet. Apart from surprising us with this banquet of today, he also surprised us by coming along with  the ASUBEB chairman, Mr Ugbaja.           “Sir  Nnabuife also said that their friendship began in their se  much experience while the celebrant was his senior before they became  ex-students of the Abbot Boys Secondary School.

The Chairman of ASUBEB, Mr Patrick Ugbaja  who  also wished the celebrant a happy birthday, thanked Sir Chuka Nnabuife for the event.

In his word, ” I want you to continue with this spirit of being united with one another.  Before, we thought that this organisation is no longer in existence but since the inception of Sir Chuka Nnabuife, it resurrected and there is a big change here.”
