Anambra warns against scooping spilled petroleum products at casualty sites

ANAMBRA State Government through the office of the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on NUPENG and Union Matters, Peter Nwosu, has warned the masses to desist from scooping spilled petroleum products.

 Nwosu stated this when he visited some accident scenes at Ugwunwasike Ogidi in Idemili North Local Government Area and Onitsha – Enugu express waym opposite Government  House, Awka, where fully loaded petroleum trucks lost control and fell down.

  The SA noted that he called all the necessary security agents including Anambra State Fire Service and also rushed to the scene with his men as soon as they got the information.

 He further explained that their intervention helped salvage the situation as people around the environment have trooped out to scoop from the spilled petroleum product which might result to explosion.

 Nwosu, who also cautioned drivers to always take proactive measures while  making use of the road this rainy season, urged the public to desist from some ugly acts that are capable of destroying lives and properties.

 The NUPENG boss  maintained that his office is working tirelessly in making sure they avert any impending disaster.

 He however, extolled Governor Obiano’s administration for providing the masses the necessary amenities that will help guarantee the good welfare of ndi Anambra
