It’s getting better every day – Okwuosa



As today marks 29 years of the creation of Anambra State, CHIKAODI CHUKWULETA, CHARITY UZOAGBA, FAVOUR OZOEMENA and NNENNA MBANUGO got people’s views on how the state has fared and suggestions on how to improve on the achievements. Enjoy the excerpts.

ANAMBRA State at 29 has done quite well in most areas, although there is always a room for improvement. Anambra has now gotten on its feet in various areas. In area of agriculture, there is more awareness now and there is an improved productivity in the area of cash crops and other stable crops being made available, especially rice, yam, cassava and so on.

  There is now a better employment opportunity in Anambra State and it’s getting better every day. When you look at  the area of security, it is very clear that we understand that one of the strong forces propagating development is security. When you have security, investors can always come in and there will be less fear of harm.When life is secure, individuals and the entire state will fare better, especially during the administration of the present governor, Chief. Dr. Willie Mmaduaburochukwu Obiano. He has taken initiatives, highlighted the need and implemented the need for security in the state and as at now, Anambra is better off. On the area of education, I will say that the state has fared very well in examinations conducted. Anambra  has taken the first spot in many areas in recent years, especially this year. The person with the best result in JAMB is from Anambra and even WAEC, we have performed greatly there. So I believe that Anambra has done well.

There is room for more improvement in everything. As human beings, every new day will provide new challenges, so we need to come together irrespective body, our political afflictions, have one objective which is to make Anambra state better. We should keep our social standing aside to move the state to greater heights.
