IT was a moment of joy and grief in Amaezike Village, Mgbakwu, in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State as the late Mrs Adaora Obidigwe joined her ancestors.

In his message, the International President, Anambra  Indigenous Pentecostal Ministers Association Worldwide and the General Overseer, Rock Fire Global Foundation Ministry, Mike Uchenna Chukwudum said death was unavoidable, that one thing that is important is preparation for life after death, as no one knows when he or she will die.

He advised Christians to follow Christ without going back, without reservation, and worship the lord with all their hearts as there is gain in following the lord.

He prayed that the deceased’s family life span will increase as their mother died at the ripe age of 96 .

Also in his message, Pastor of the Revered Great Gospel Revival Ministries, Awka, Tochukwu Ubaezuonu, emphasised on the need for Christians to know the power in the blood of Jesus. He added that Christians are redeemed by the blood of Jesus which determined the validity and superiority of whatever Christians do in life.

He noted that at the last day, everyone will have eternal life, but the question is it will be in whether hell or heaven.

While reading her biography, her first son, Elder Fred Obidigwe described her as a peaceful woman, courageous, hardworking, virtuous, generous, perseverance, tolerance, fervent Christian; a woman who is committed to issues that concern the body of Christ. “She had the mind of man, strong- willed to face any condition with boldness and definiteness of purpose.

Another of his son, Ekemezie Obidigwe, described her as a virtuous woman, matriarch, repository of knowledge and a woman that can be confided in.

He said he lost his father at the beginning of the journey to earth, when he was just six years but his mother never allowed him to feel the departure of his father, and was always there for him, meeting his demands; “asking me what I needed to be where I am today:.

He said that his mother was a disciplinarian, who doesn’t spare when she noticed that anybody in the family has gone wrong.

Other children, Nwuche Catherine (nee Obidigwe), Fidelia Egbunam (Nee Obidigwe) and others, described her as courageous, submissive wife, loving, kind hearted, a pace setter, sunlight, soloist and  singer, God fearing and mother in Israel.

The ceremony attracted the presence of government officials, legal luminaries, family, friends and well-wishers who came out in their numbers to grace the occasion.
