ANSPHCDA inaugurates Idemili North Advisory Committee



ANAMBRA State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (APHCDA), has inaugurated Idemili North Advisory Committee Members to effect project development in communities.

  Executive Secretary, ANSPHCDA, Dr Chioma Ezenyimulu noted that the agency was all about health in the community and how to move forward healthcare delivery in Local Government Areas.

“The agency is functional; it accesses the executive healthcare facilities in all LGAs.

“It takes care of recruitment, promotion and discipline of health workers, giving face lift to the healthcare facilities that can attract people,” she said.

Dr Ezenyimulu urged health workers to be up and doing, punctual and regular at duty posts.

Health Director, Idemili North LGA, Mrs Chinyere Edeh said that the committee members were in charge of health departments in the LGAs and at community levels too.

“They advise on ways forward in different areas like building health facilities, nutrition, personnel, treasury and planning,” she noted.

Mr Chris Ogham, chairman of all the chairmen, Ward Development Committee, said that Idemili North LGA has 10 per cent of Anambra population and 39 health facilities.

He solicited for at least a medical practitioner to be assigned to the area as well as campaigned for official handover of healthcare facilities in communities.

The occasion witnessed an unveiling of the Idemili North Healthcare Authority bill board and swearing in of committee members by the Board Chairman, Prof. Josephat Ogbuagu.
