Anambra Police arrest three for death of man in Okija

ANAMBRA state police command had arrested three suspects Obasi Ezinne, Ntochukwu Anabaraonye and Abuchi Obinna in connection with the murder of one Henry Okam in Okija whose decomposing body was recovered by police detectives.

  National light gathered that the suspect allegedly abducted the victim on August 30, 2020, killed him and buried him in a shallow grave.

  The command image maker Haruna Mohammed while confirming the story said the operatives of the state special Anti Robbery Squad acting on intelligence gathering arrested the suspects on September 5, 2020.

  He stated that the police recovered a pomp action rifle from them.

  According to him, “the suspects had on August 30, 2020, allegedly abducted one Henry Okam in Ihiala Local Government Area”.

  “They killed him with pomp action rifle and buried him in a shallow grave”.

  “The suspects who voluntarily confessed to the crime, took operatives to a thick forest where the decomposing body of the victim was exhumed are recovered to the mortuary.

  “Also recovered were the victims phone and the gun used by the suspect in perpetrating the heinous crime”.
