IT was a great and memorable occasion as friends and well-wishers gathered at Uruagu Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area  of Anambra State to join the family of Ikeh to celebrate the memorial service of the late Clement Nwokedi Ikeh.

The late Ikeh, who died in 2018, was before his death, a community leader, philanthropist and peace maker who contributed immensely to lift the plight of the community especially indigent people.

The son of the deceased, Chukwudi Ikeh, while speaking with newsmen, described his father as a disciplinarian who imparted moral values to his children, promising to sustain his father’s legacies.

He also said that his father was a nice and caring man who believed that good name supersedes everything.

Chukwudi  lamented that the cold hands of death snatched their father away when he was needed most. Going down memory lane, he remembered how he suffered to ensure that they all secured a better future.

He equally regretted that his father died when it was time for him to enjoy the fruit of his labor, consoling himself with the fact that his late father lived life worthy of emulation, adding that his life and times were full of impressive memories.
