SENIOR legal officer with Anambra State Judiciary and an entrepreneur, Mrs Adaobi Nwawulu, will tomorrow present her new book titled, ‘Her True Essence’ at Best Western Hotel (Meloch), Awka.
According to her the main purpose of the book is to make a case for the actualisation of the ideal tripod of an amazing wife, a wonderful mother and a queen. “Oftentimes women in an effort to strike a balance between being a mom and a wife, women often lose themselves. They try to fill the tanks of the people they love while they leave theirs running low”.
“The idea behind the book is to show that it is actually possible to strike a healthy balance and in this context, the woman is not taking care of herself alone. In this case, she is caring for herself too; she is bringing her needs to the table as well as the needs of the people she loves and making sure that none thrives at the expense of the other.
Speaking to National Light in an interview, Nwawulu said she drew inspiration from a number of amazing women in her life, like her mother, her mother-in-law and her other role models and that her passion for sharing knowledge was another factor that drove her need to pen the book down.
The book launch is to enable her create awareness.”It is one thing to write a book and it’s another to make sure that people know that you wrote. I want people to know that a book like this is in existence and I want to use the launch to advise them to read the book. I’m expecting a whole lot of amazing people. The special guest of honour is the former Chief Judge of Anambra State, Prof. Peter Umeadi.”
The event will also feature Sir Jay G.E Ezeuko(SAN), as Guest of Honour and Pat Okafor as chairman of the occasion, while Prof Sylvia Ifemeje and Mrs. Roseline Nkem Obi will serve as reviewers.
