Anambra steps up road rehabilitation drive

ANAMBRA State is stepping up road rehabilitation drive in all the 21 local government areas.

Managing Director of Anambra State Road Maintenance Agency (ARMA), Emeka Okoye stated this in Awka, yesterday, while fielding questions from newsmen.

According to him, the state utilises current dry season to cover as many roads as resources can afford.

He includes durapatching of potholes, which Okoye said is going and under Operation Zero Potholes to fix all failed portions of Anambra roads. But he stressed that the project will continue beyond this dry season, commending Gov. Willie Obiano for providing equipment, funds and others for the agency which has aided their productivity tremendously.

The roads to be rehabilitated under the scheme will not be just for this year but for many years to come.
