… God has shown me the man that will take Anambra to next level – Ebube Muonso

NEW Year day prophecy has become a tradition in Nigeria since it gained currency in the 1990s. This year is no exception for a ritual which other African countries have copied Nigeria in delivering what the year has in store.

Opinions are divided on whether some of the prophecies are mere predictions. For what to expect in 2021, here is what some prominent clerics declared as they release prophecies during the crossover services which take place on the night of December 31 and extend to the morning of January 1.

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, while reeling out the prophecies for the year during the crossover service at the Redemption Camp maintained that some of the things God said in 2020 would spill over in 2021.

On the avalanche of challenges confronting Nigeria, Adeboye said that God wanted the nation to know that He alone can lift the siege, adding that it is only the humble that put their trust in God that will see the end of the siege.

On COVID-19 pandemic and its vaccine, he said.  “For every vaccine discovered, there is already a variant in the making. God said this will continue until the so-called high and the mighty admits that safety is from the Lord.”

The founder and presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, while delivering a sermon on New Year day, expressed hope that Christians would have a happy time.

“2021 shall be full of surprises for you. From this moment onward, it shall be forward ever for you and backward never. This year, you shall not wander in life again. Those afflictions you are used to will not follow you in this year. Your dramatic change of story shall come this year. You shall not know disappointments in 2021!, he declared.

In his New Year message, the founder of Synagogue of All Nations, Prophet TB Joshua hinted that multiple challenges lay ahead.

“This year is planting a seed that will be harvested next year. What this monster called COVID-19 has been destroying will be seen clearly next year,” he stated.

According to Joshua, some of these dire consequences included companies, educational and faith institutions being destroyed, people losing their jobs, divorce here and there and poverty becoming the order of the day.”

The cleric stated that the pandemic has three stages, “We are getting to the end of the first stage. The second stage will be tougher than the first stage but it will not affect all countries,” he continued, “third stage will be tougher than the second stage but not as “widespread” as the initial outbreak.”

Rev Fr. Ejike Mbaka, Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministries, Enugu, Nigeria (AMEN), in his December 31 Crossover Night ministration, tagged, “Cornucopia of New Miracles from God” warned the federal government to make youths’ welfare paramount.

Father Mbaka said, “The Holy Spirit of God asked me to warn the government of the day to be very careful; they should take swift moves to create jobs to prevent Nigerian youths from embarking on uneasiness that may consume the administration.

Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries, speaking during the crossover service in his church, predicted conspiracy against Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.

Apostle Suleman foresaw another protest against police and a new sect of the Boko Haram terrorist group springing forth in 2021. He also foresaw that power will leave the North and some public figures lose their lives.

Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Paul Enenche, in his prophetic declaration tagged, “Release, Recovery and Replication,” at the church’s headquarters in Abuja, declared 2021 as a year of recovery for Nigeria.

“Note this, 2021 is the 21st year of the 21st century. It is 21 years now since the 21st century started. That is very implicative. Things don’t just happen by accident; there are prophetic significations to spiritual timings and seasons.”

The senior pastor and founder of Loveworld Church, otherwise known as Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, while speaking  to his congregation during the Global New Year’s eve service declared 2021 to be ‘the Year of Preparation’.  The cleric said he saw angels preparing the saints with the word of God and also for the coming of the Lord.

According to him, “In heaven, preparation is being made. All over the world, I saw angels preparing people, helping and preparing people.”

Prophet Joshua Iginla of the Champions Royal Assembly, Abuja, in a series of prophecies for 2021 prophesied about the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu and his agitation for Biafra. Prophet Iginla foresees an “expensive massacre” of the agitators that dents the image of the government.

The Clergyman said, “agitation for Biafra will wax very strong, and we need to pray strongly because it will take another dimension that will provoke the government of the day to begin to haunt the agitators.

“The agitation will grow stronger and will influence a lot of chances of the people from the eastern part of this country. Nobody should look down on the Biafran movement.

“Like I keep shouting from the beginning that dialogue is the key. There is no bomb, gun or force that can stop such ideology except maturity applied for dialogue.”

The founder of Ghana-based Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie declared that Nigeria’s Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo would become president.

The preacher, who mentioned this in his prophecy for 2021 during the watch night service however did not state how and how soon it will happen.

“Nigeria’s Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will become president.” He stated further, “the world will enjoy peace, but America will have a terrorist attack.”

The Spiritual Director of the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, Anambra State, Rev Fr Emmanuel Obimma, popularly called Fr Ebube Muonso, in his prophecies for the year said God revealed to him,” the death of high-profile political leaders, but those that hope in the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall move from strength to strength.”

“God has revealed to me what it holds in stock for Nigerians and the world in 2021. Some are good and some are not good. But I pray that the spirit of God will take absolute control of negative events and postulations for the year 2021.

“At the political front, I foresee the outcome of the November 2021 Anambra governorship election that will shock many. Many are jostling for the governorship seat, but God has already given me the name of the person that will take over from Obiano. God has strengthened the person to take Anambra to the next level. The Holy Spirit revealed to me the fall of an empire. God showed me the man that will take Anambra to the next level, and his name also appeared.”

Founder of the Divine Hand of God Prophetic Ministries International, Abuja, Prophet Emmanuel Omale, declared that another terrorist group (apart from Boko Haram) might attack Southern Nigeria in 2021, thereby setting Christians and Muslims into another dimension of strife.

He stressed that the essence of prophecy is to draw people to the Almighty God.

Prophet Omale claimed that the current COVID-19 vaccines which many see as the “saviour” will not be as effective as expected.

According to him, the first quarter of the New Year will be very worrisome.

He advised the government to invest in the health sector to avoid tragedies. He further said, “Nigeria will witness increased flooding, fall of the naira and crisis in the Senate.”
