NDLEA, DSS collaborate for crime-free society



EDO State Director of Department of State Security (DSS), EA Likinyo has stressed the need to join forces with security agencies in combating crimes and other practices that may cause unrest to society.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Edo State NDLEA Command, the DSS boss,  emphasised the importance of having a good working relationship among officers.

  Having undergone various management courses, she concluded that security officers must be operating as team players.

  Responding, the NDLEA Edo State Command, Mr Buba Wakawa commended the DSS boss for her bold steps, adding that team player among officers will stand as a double force in combating crimes.

  He also stated that the fight against crime should be everyone’s concern, especially prohibited drugs like cannabis Sativa, which is largely cultivated in Edo State.

  He, however, cautioned those that are trading on cannabis or other hard drugs not to see the trade as a legal business or a means of livelihood.

  Wakawa, however, employed the state government to take responsibility and support the agency on their campaigns against drug abuse and total eradication of hard drug activities in the state.

  He, also, appealed to the Edo State government to look into the dilapidated state of the working environment of the agency.

   DSS Boss, entourage were; the Deputy Director Security Enforcement, Galadima Byangs; Deputy Operations, EO Sagbanye and other security personnel.
