Sir Nwokeabia transits

THE family of Kenneth Chiazor Nwokeabia of UImuota Village Obosi in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State has announced the passing on to glory of Sir Kenneth Chiazor Nwokeabia.

  Sir Nwokeabia, who died on February 3, 2021, following a brief illness, was a distinguished Permanent Secretary in the Anambra State Government in different areas such as being the pioneer permanent secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry, Deputy Gov’s Office .

  Sir KBC, as the late Sir Nwokeabia was popularly called, was an accomplished principal of many schools which included; Girls’ Secondary School, Umunachi, Comprehensive Secondary School, Onitsha, Watshington Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha and Dennis Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha and equally served on the boards of Patterson Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha and Paul University Secondary School, Nibo Nise.  After the creation of Anambra State, he became the pioneer state president of the All Nigeria Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools ( ANCOPSS).

  In a burial statement signed by his wife, Lady Ifeyinwa Nwokeabia on behalf of the family, Sir KBC will start his final journey on Thursday, April 22, with a service of songs at St. Michael and All Angels, Ifite- Awka, by 4pm. On Wednesday, April 25, commendation service will take place at DMGS Chapel, Onitsha, by 11am, while on Friday, April 30, funeral service will be at All Saints Anglican Church, Little Wood Estate, by 10am.

  Lady Nwokeabia, who noted that her husband served under successive administrations in the state, explained that he lived an exemplary, inspiring and worthy life and was also a loving husband, caring father and a dependable confidant.
