NOTABLE ndi Anambra have continued to commend the good works of Governor Willie Obiano for the past seven years.
Deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Dr. Paschal Agbodike scored the Obiano administration high in service delivery.
According to Dr. Agbodike, under the Obiano administration, the state has fared well in infrastructure and human capital development compared to other states in the country.
He commended the governor for the prompt payment of workers’ salaries, and for embarking on some legacy projects such as the International Cargo Airport, Umueri, International Conference Centre in Awka, etc and urged the citizenry to sustain their support for the state chief executive.
The Deputy Speaker noted that the Anambra people should decide very carefully who to succeed the governor in 2022, stressing that the APGA administration has helped to stabilise the state over the years.
The lawmaker expressed delight that the 7th Assembly has given their unalloyed support to the governor.
In a similar view, the Member, representing Orumba South Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Emma Nwafor noted that the governor has done very well in his choose-yourself-project-initiative for all communities in the state from which his constituency, Orumba South has recorded 70 per cent success delivery.
Nwafor made special reference to the CAFÉ project of the governor’s wife, Chief Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano which has touched many lives.
In his assessment, the chairman, Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board(ASUBEB), Chief Patrick Ugboaja noted that the governor has done well in the area of education with the state scoring many firsts in his administration as well as signing the 2017 and 2018 (UBEC) counterpart fund with the federal government which has occasioned the renovation and sinking of water boreholes in primary schools in the state.
On his part, the traditional ruler of Neni, Igwe Damian Ezeani appreciated the efforts put in place by the Obiano administration to move the state to the next level.
