Teachers in Edo State set for COVID-19 vaccination

EDO State Government has kicked off a coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination campaign for private and public school teachers across the 18 local government of the state. ahead of schools’ reopening on Monday, May 10.

   The state COVID-19 Incident Manager, Dr Andrew Obi, disclosed this while addressing journalists at the weekend in Benin City, saying the exercise is part of efforts by Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration to contain the pandemic and ensure the health and safety of citizens.

Dr Obi said that the vaccination exercise for the teachers, which commenced on Saturday, May 8, 2021, would end on May 14, 2021, when the state would end the first phase of vaccination.

He thereby urged both private and public school teachers in the state to participate actively in the ongoing vaccination.
