Aguluzigbo monarch calls for peace in communities



THE need for peaceful co-existence in all Communities in the state and Nigeria Nation has been stressed.

The newly installed monarch of Aguluzigbo, Anaocha L.G.A, Igwe Rufus Ilodiba made the remark while briefing journalists during a reception in his palace.

He urged indigenes of the town to to reconcile their disputes with dialogue to enable them jointly attract more development in the town.

The Igwe appealed to his opponents to accept their defeat with good faith and come forward for “us to jointly combine our human and material resources together to transform the community to higher level for where two elephants fight, the grasses suffer”.

He recalled that the community had suffered untold hardships since 14yrs ago without the Igwe but only the president general.

He assured that his new office will afford him more opportunities to look into the problems of the people and find solutions but appealed to the people to forget the past, cooperate with him to forge ahead.

The Igwe prays to God to change the hearts of the Fulani’s and others so that we live in peace.

He regretted the increasing rate of moral decadence and unemployment among youths in the state and suggested that the government should give them jobs for they are idle, stressing that we can stop theft by giving people assistance.

 He prayed God to replenish his teeming supporters for their cooperation towards realising their dreams.

In their brief remarks, Chief Chukwubuikem Anyacho and Mr. John Ilodiba Snr., and others respectively extolled the Igwe for this magnanimity and distinguished personality and urged him to ensure peaceful tenure in office.
