Police arrest three suspected ritualists with container of human blood in Delta



POLICE in Delta State have arrested three suspected ritualists with fresh human blood in a container on their way to Kwale community of the  state

 Operatives of the Dragon Patrol teams on routine patrol who attested that the youths arrested them on Monday, as they were travelling from Asaba to Kwale, said all the suspects were from Ebenta Village in Ohankwu LGA, Ebonyi State.

 The police said they were arrested when the police intercepted a commercial bus travelling from Asaba to Kwale, even as all the passengers were asked to submit themselves for search. Their names were; Monday Nwite, 27, Sunday Nwite, 21 and Maduabuchi, 26.

 According to the police, during the search, the suspects were found with a container filled with fresh human blood.

 Confirming the  report in a statement signed by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edefe said during interrogation, the suspects confessed to have murdered some unknown persons in Ebonyi State and were on their way with the blood of the victims  to a native doctor whose identity is yet to be disclosed in Kwale.

 The statement added that the suspects confessed they were taking the blood to the native doctor for ritual rites.

 “One Rosary necklace tied with charms was also recovered and investigation is still on-going”.

 In a related development, police in the state have nabbed a 60 years old  native doctor, Godfrey Akpudje with two human skulls in Isiokoro area of the State

 He was said to have removed the head of a 65 year old woman who died sometime in 2019, Delta State Police  Public Relations Officer, DSP Edefe, while confirming  the report  said the deceased sister, Ejiro Okoro, reported that her sister’s body was exhumed and her head was missing.

 “During the investigation and upon intelligence gathering, Akpudje was arrested being the suspect who exhumed the corpse and removed the head”.

 “The suspect has confessed and stated he got one of the human skulls from his professional colleague in Osun State.
