Anambra to be named oil producing state next month – Obiano

ANAMBRA State will by next month, be named an oil producing state.

  Governor Obiano, who announced this at Aguleri, shortly after his weekly tour of the Anambra International Passenger and Cargo Airport, Umueri, with leaders of Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU), Women Wing, said that the federal government had given 11 oil wells to the state.

  He further disclosed that his administration has been  pursuing the status for a very long time and appreciated God for making it a reality under his watch.

  The women leaders commended the Anambra  State Government for thinking and working the vision of a befittinjg airport for the state.

  It was observed that installation of gadgets for the control tower as well as the terminal building is almost ready, while Aviation lights installation for the runway is almost complete.

  The fire house building is already standing, as installation of equipment has commenced, among other improvements.

  Among those who accompanied the governor on the inspection were the Member, representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency,  Chief Chinedu Obidigwe, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Primus Odili, Commissioner for Works, Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor, among others.
