APGA holds mega campaign rally

AS PREPARATIONS gears for the anticipated Anambra gubernatorial elections, the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) held a mega campaign rally to project its frontrunner and agenda to the public. The event, which held at the popular Alex Ekwueme Square, had various party faithfuls and stakeholders to recognise and project their candidate, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.

  At the event, various representatives were selected to ensure smooth sail of the party to maintain its winnings at the forthcoming guber elections.

  An inauguration team was set up to ensure direction and adherence of the political agenda of the candidate, Chukwuma Soludo.

  In his address, Senator Victor Umeh assured that Soludo must contest for the election and win for APGA. He said that the inauguration of the campaign council was a sub committee of APGA as a party, and every members of the party, former party leaders, legislatures and executives of the party were part of it and would work to deliver the party at the election. “This is Anambra State election and has nothing to do with people outside the state. Nobody can come from anywhere to defeat APGA. APGA has a great scorecard by which it can win.”

  He enjoined all APGA members and stakeholders to come together and join to make it work and emphasised the various steps that were taken to ensure that all party faithfuls are prepared and determined for landslide victory of their candidate, Soludo. According to him, those parading on social media as Aggrieved Association of Aspirants of APGA are merely embarrassing themselves.

  He encouraged members and stakeholders to work in unison to ensure the party’s victory, “If your party lose election, you die naturally. Let us continue with what APGA is doing for Anambra State”. He assured that the governor has done his best to let the party’s flag fly and will continue in the nearest future.

  He appealed to those in court to return and withdraw their cases. “I heard they are in Owerri, Abuja and other places. They did it when I was in office. They sued me in all Nigeria and lost out. “

  He said the essence of inaugurating the campaign committee was to ensure unity of purpose. He said everyone was involved in the election process from the polling unit to the collation center until the very end is achieved.

  On the same note, state party chairman, Chief Norbert Obi, thanked all for honoring the call  noting that it was a formal inauguration of the campaign team of Soludo, “we will win all the 326 wards. Anambra state is not where you will rig election.

  “He advised INEC to discharge their duties fearlessly to prevent rigging out Soludo as he is the choice of the  people.

  Additionally, the flagbearer of the party, Soludo, thanked the party executives, board of trustees and stakeholders for the mandate to fly the party’s flag. He promised a fair and legacy driven leadership if he wins the elections.

  “We will contest every vote in all families to ensure they count. We will continue to move forward under my leadership till we get there.”

  The occasion had the chairman of APGA National Campaign Council, Gov. Willie Obiano, Chief Victor Oye as deputy, Sir. Victor Umeh, Chinedu Emeka, Anayo Nnebe, Rita Maduagwu, Damain Okolo, Ibeh, Paul Odenigbo and all board of trustees.
