…Assures erring members of fairness
…Insists APGA will win Nov. 6 poll

THE All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) party has called on all its aggrieved members to put their differences aside and return to APGA.

The appeal was made by the State Chairman of APGA in Anambra State, Nobert Obi at the party secretariat, Awka, Anambra State.

In a press statement released during the meeting, the APGA chieftain said All Progressive Grand Alliance Party is a very peaceful party willing to forgive all erring members and ready to move in unison with all who have the interest of the party and state at heart.

“There is no party in Nigeria today that does not have their own internal wrangling and differences especially in Anambra State where gubernatorial election is scheduled for November 6, 2021.” The statement read in part.

Continuing,  “It is a known fact that same issues arose out of the party’s primaries but the state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano did not waste time in constituting a Peace, Reconciliation and National Outreach committee headed by former National Chairman of the party, Senator Victor Umeh.” The statement further read.

The APGA stalwart noted that the committee wasted no time in their mandate and was able to sit with many aggrieved members with a view to forging a common understanding.

Expressing dismay over the conduct of some party members culminating to their defection, APGA said it is unfortunate for anybody from Igbo extraction not to recognise APGA as an Igbo heritage and image.

“It is there disheartening and embarrassing that the honourable members threw caution to the winds and decided to hurt the party that brought them to limelight.” The statement added.

Sir Obi however emphasised that as a father, APGA will not shut the door against the erring members but give them a second chance to come and win the forthcoming election in the state together as a family.

He assured the aggrieved members that whatever their grievances not well addressed to their satisfaction by the peace and reconciliation committee will be revisited.

“Every right thinking Igboman knows that APGA is not only a party but a movement for actualisation of Igbo agenda in Nigerian polity.” Obi stated.

He charged all party faithful to support the candidacy of Professor Chukwuma Soludo, the APGA standard bearer, in winning the coming guber election in the state.
