APGA Dunukofia sets up reconciliation c’ttee

ALL Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dunukofia Chapter has inaugurated a reconciliation committee aimed at restoring peace and unity in the party ahead of the November 6, governorship election in the state.

  Members of the committee which were drawn from the 14 wards in the six towns that made up Dunukofia LGA, has Chike Maduekwe (Esq) as it’s chairman, the Commissioner for Social Welfare, Women and Children Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, the deputy chairperson while Sir Chinedu Omeleke is the secretary.

 Others included; the Chairman of Dunukofia LGA, Patrick Emeka Chinweze, Mr. Mark Okoye, Mr. John Olibie, Emeka Okonkwo, Chike Odoji, Chief Vincent Udobi, Vincent Ezennia, Mrs. Carol Ikeabbah, Ajemba Uzodimma, Amaka Ikwuka, Ann Onyekwuinfe, Solomon Eziachalla, Onyemaobi Augustine, Joesphat Okeke, Ifeyinwa Orji and Uchenna Malobi.

 Addressing the committee members at the council chambers, the chairman of the LG, Patrick Emeka Chinweze, while stressing the importance of peace and unity, described the two as major aspects of life any society or group should possess to achieve it’s goals and objectives.

 The chairman, who emphasised the worth of every member of the party, noted that each member should be given a sense of belonging regardless of social status.

 He stated that APGA cannot afford to loose members at such a crucial time of the election and urged the committee to use the best approach to reunite the aggrieved members of the party.

 The council boss however expressed optimism that APGA will emerge victorious come November 6, with Prof. Chukwuma Soludo as the candidate to consolidate on Gov. Willie Obiano’s already established legacy.

 The chairman of the committee, Mr. Chike Maduekwe while expressing his commitment in reconciling APGA members in Dunukofia, urged his colleagues to give their best in achieving the desired goal.

 Contributing, the Commissioner for Economic Planning, Budget and Development Partners, Mark Okoye who is also a member of the committee, explained the need to meet with all the aggrieved members of the party to ascertain their grievances and bring them back to the party.

 The Director General, Youth Mobilisation, Innovation and Technology, Mr. Emeka Okonkwo charged the committee members to remain steadfast in their efforts to reunite all the party members as there is no time to waste.

  In a related development, the Chairman, Dunukofia LGA, Patrick Emeka Chinweze has embarked on tour of the LG towards November 6 election to ensure APGA’s victory.

 The event featured party faithful such as  Igwe Raphael Chukwurah who prayed that God will grant APGA victory in the election, Sir John Olibie, Chike Odoji among others.

  Mr. Chinweze charged the APGA faithful that the party is an Igbo identity founded on the principles of Igbo ideology for the greater good of Anambra State.

 In their various speeches, Chief John Olibie, Chike Odoji, Emeka Okonkwo commended the people for always coming out to support the party.

 Lady Amaka Ikwuka, Woman PG Umudioka and National Deputy President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo (Women Wing), urged all the women to vote APGA so that their children’s future will continue to be secured.

  The local government party Chairman, Vincent Ezennia urged party members to stay firm and loyal.
