S’East real estate stakeholders hold summit, assure of housing security

SOUTH East Governors, businessman, Aluko Dangote , real estate developers are among dignitaries expected at the 2021 South East Housing Summit and Exhibitions (Akulueuno 2021),which would hold on Thursday, September 30   ,in Enugu .

   The Vice President, Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria, South East Zone, Pastor Makuachukwu Chidiebere Udeigwe, made this known in Enugu on Tuesday,

   He said that the event , tagged “Akulueuno 2021” is being organised by Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria(REDAN), South East zone.

  He added that the event, which will hold at the AMADEO Event Centre, Enugu, will commence at 9:00am.

  According to him, the event is an international event. Stakeholders like commissioners, housing corporations from the South East Zone,  stakeholders in the building industry, Architects, builders, engineers, marketers of real estate, everybody in that value chain would also be coming. REDAN members from the five South East states and about 2,000 participants are expected at the event.

The vice president added that people who needed houses would be coming.

  ” We call them off-takers- people who would take -off the houses that are built in the South East.. They are all coming.

  He explained that they are coming to tell the people that Enugu and the whole of South East is a safe zone for investment.

  The event, he said, is an educative enlightenment and promotional summit geared towards bringing various stakeholders together r to brainstorm.

  Udeigwe disclosed that they would sit together and find a very landing space for everyone to have a home.

“People are coming in. Some of our members are bringing in rent-to-own in that summit. So, we are telling everybody in the south east, come…”

  The Vice President said that there would be exhibitions and all the manufacturers and dealers of building materials would have exhibitions. 

  ” That doesn’t stop adhoc staff working with all these manufacturers. So, Akulueuno is a venture, the government would be there and we want everyone to be part of it, “he said.

  He explained that the summit is an educational summit that would bring off-takers and other interest in the building and construction industry to examine and proffer solutions to issues and bottlenecks that may  hinder the progressive and sustainable development of the industry.

 “It is poised to exposing the available incentives of REDAN such that will benefit both classes of the populace. It is being strategically hosted in the South East, Nigeria…”

  The vice president disclosed that arrangements had been made for people in diaspora to participate at the summit via Zoom, adding that the public relations officer, Nwanna Arinze created a zoom platform for the people in diaspora to participate.

  He said that there will be other activities which include award and dinner night.
