ANAMBRA State Commissioner for information and Public Enlightenment, C. Don Adinuba has cautioned members of All Progress Congress(APC) against politicising the death of former Aguleri Otu monarch, Alex Edozieuno.

The commissioner, who made this known while reacting to the politicisation of the crime noted they are unnecessarily over-heating the polity.

His words, “rather than politicising the ex-monarchs death, the APC should provide whatever it has about the crime to the Nigeria Police Force. After all, the APC is the federal government’s party which controls not just the police but also the Department of State Security.”

Source says, the Anambra State  Chapter  of APC had  accused the state government  of complicity in the killing of the deposed Aguleri-Out monarch,  Alex Edozieuno and his driver. Both men were allegedly killed by suspected gunmen along Ezu Bridge, Otuocha last week.

In a joint statement released on Sunday, the State Chairman of APC and the Director, Andy Uba Campaign Organisation, Basil Ejidike and Paul Oluchukwu, the duo described the monarch’s death as political killings.

It will be recalled that Edozieuno  was among the  13 monarchs suspended  last year for their ill-fated  trip to Abuja without  the approval of the state government.
