Anaocha Day: Chikezie, others takes chieftaincy titles

 ANAOCHA Local Government Secretariat, Neni, was recently filled with people from different communities that make up the LGA to celebrate 2021 New Yam Festival and conferment of chieftaincy titles to the outstanding sons of the council.

  Among the recipients was Chief Inno Poch Chikezie, from Ichida, who was conferred with the title of Isi Ochendo by the traditional rulers of Anaocha Council for his humanitarian and philanthropic services in Anaocha and beyond.

  In his speech, the traditional ruler of Neni ,Igwe Damian Ezeani, who performed the conferment alongside other traditional rulers in Anaocha said that Chief Chikezie had been screened and found worthy, fit and deserving to be bestowed with the prestigious title due to his laudable community projects in Anaocha. 

  Earlier in his welcome address, the transition committee chairman of the local government, Patrick Onyedum, said that the  idea of the award and chifetaincy title was to motivate illustrious sons of Anaocha for their outstanding works to the council.

  He charged the awardees not to relent in their humanitarian services, and always bear in mind that their main reward is in heaven.

  A friend to the recipient, Isi Atu Ichida, in his felicitation message said that the exceptional humanitarian services of Chief Chikezie to mankind and society were unparalleled and described him as a mentor, a man with heart of gold and critical stakeholder in the affairs of Anaocha.

  Chief Chikezie while speaking during a grand reception in his compound expressed joy that his community recognised his service to mankind , promising  to do more to ensure that Anaocha Council will enter the world map.

  He maintained that his philanthropic gesture is in line with the promise to God while growing up.
