In Edo, nursing mother nabbed for peddling drug

NATIONAL Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Edo State Command has intercepted a 35-year-old nursing mother for attempting to smuggle 0.013 kilograms of substance suspected to be cannabis sativa into their facility.

  The suspected illegal substances were packaged into two small transparent plastic containers and carefully packed alongside coolers of cooked rice and stew which was made for her elder brother in the NDLEA cell custodian.

  The suspect, Mariam Dirisu, was arrested over the weekend with her two months and two weeks old baby boy and would be charged to court soonest according to the state commander, Mr Buba Wakawa.
