Accept governorship results for peace to reign – IPAN tells candidates

IGBOS for a Progressive Nigeria (IPAN) has urged all candidates for the Nov. 6 Anambra governorship elections to accept the outcome of the election in order to allow  peace to prevail.

“By joining hands with other prominent Nigerians to congratulate the winner of the 2021 Anambra governorship election, Prof. ChukwumaSoludo, we are rooting for peace in Anambra,’’ IPAN said while congratulating the winner.

“We urge Soludo to ensure a harmonious relationship between him and his predecessor, Gov. Willie Obiano, to further sustain the unity of “nke a bu nke anyi’’, a slogan of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

This is contained in a statement signed by the National President of IPAN, Mr Lawrence Onuzulike.

It enjoined the Anambra governor-elect to urgently declare a `State of Emergency’ on roads once sworn on March 17 next year.

The statement noted that the state of the roads were regrettable, stressing that this contributed to incessant traffic jams in the state.

“This election is also a demonstration of people’s mind toward all candidates.

“Although, no candidate is less important, but the people have proved they can change Nigeria if they want.

“Looking at the election, one can say that there will be a paradigm shift from vote-buying to spontaneous sincerity.’’
