Anti-Piracy Society of Nigeria inaugurates new members

ANTI-PIRACY Society of Nigeria  (APSON), Anambra State Sector has inaugurated over 150 new members. The inaugural cum award ceremony, first of its kind within the country, held at the Event Hall of Anambra  Newspaper and Printing Corporation,  Awka.

  In his address,  the  Director-General of APSON, Frank Uduonu thanked various stakeholders including the police force,  Federal Road Safety  Commission, Manufacturers Association of  Nigeria,  Anambra State Chapter for ensuring that the idea of tackling piracy and fakery has become a reality. 

  He further stated that piracy, which has become endemic, could be seen in all facets of our lives. He noted that through consumer awareness, citizens will understand what originality means as the campaign will be taken to every doorstep.

  The chairman of the occasion, Rev. Fr. Martins Anusi of Fides Media urged the new members to allow God put them to good use. He stated that their call is divine; a vocation to do everything to remove fakery.

  Highlights of the occasion were the induction of new members, award-giving and the  launch of the Tarbt app developed to help track pirated goods and fakery.

  One of the awardees and founder of AliBan de Great Ind. Nig. Limited, Mr Barnabas Ali  commended APSON for putting up a great  initiative,  helping manufacturers protect their products and reducing loss.
