In Awka, East Chella Festival commences tomorrow



TRANSFORMATION Ambassadors Commercial and Contracts Nigeria  (TACC), organisers of East Chella event recently paid a courtesy visit to the Managing Director, Anambra Newspapers and Printing Corporation, Sir Chuka Nnabuife in his office.

  The Managing Director and Project Manager, TACC, Jasmine Ogechi Azubuogu, along side the Senior Special Adviser to the Anambra State Governor  on Youth Mobilisation and General Manager, TACC, Queen Cynthia Azubuogu  expressed happiness for the warm welcome in ANPC, and explained that the board of trustees of  TACC  and the Ministry of  Diaspora Affairs, Culture and  Tourism, Anambra State will hold  an East Chella in Anambra State.

  Azubuogu, noted that East Chella is an event created to foster social ties in the Southeast, “to promote business, fashion, music, culture, arts, tours and the eastern vibes of ndi Igbo”.

 . The event is a two-day event to hold between 24th and 25th December at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka.

  She further explained that  December 24, will be a cultural day where all kinds of masquerades, dancing troops  will  display from 10am to 6pm, as well as fire works, while on  25th morning, children and their families will be hosted, even as  the East Chella Festival will start from 12pm noon till dawn. There will also be raffle draw which the winner will go with a brand new car and a plot of land.

  According to her, the event will feature popular music artists – Phyno and Theresa Onuorah with other upcoming artists and comedians. Special Guest of Honour will be Governor Willie Obiano, Chief Host, Commissioner, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Kenneth Anierobi.

  “Royal fathers of the day, will be  Obi  Gibson Nwosu of Awka, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe, Obi of Onitsha and  Igwe  Benneth Izuchukwu Emeka, Oke-ebo  of Umueri.

  “Distinguished Guest of Honour, Commissioner, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Enugu State, Chika Smart Ogbe,  that of Abia State, Ojo Loveth Adimohia, Ebonyi State, Elizabeth Ogbaga and Commissioner for Ministry of Tourism, Creative Arts and Culture, Imo State, Chijioke Nzekwe.

  Addressing the group, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ANPC, Sir Chuka Nnabuife, while commending the group , expressed  joy for, saying that ANPC is proud of them as well as the event they are planning.
