Founder and General Overseer of the Christ Evidence Christian Gospel Church, Awka, Reverend Sister Franca Nnonyelum has marked her 57th birthday which turned to an epoch-making event, graced by numerous friends and well-wishers both within and outside the church.
Speaking during the celebration, one of the matrons in the church, Sunday Okpala described Rev. Nnonyelum as an obedient servant of God and mother of all who has helped to touch lives among followers of Christ and continued to win more souls as she accommodates and gives listening ears to everyone irrespective of their gender. He prayed that God will continue to use her in a miraculous way to solve problems of people who seek for God’s grace and salvation, as well as liberating them from the shackles of darkness.
In his words, “we are thanking God today for the gift of life upon her. That is why we have gathered to rejoice with her. Looking at things the way it appears, people always gather to mourn than to celebrate a day like this. We should always celebrate ourselves while we are alive than dead and appreciate God for his divine grace.”
“We are well assured of different varieties of foods and drinks to take as we celebrate her. I pray that the grace of God will uphold her and her family all the days of their lives”.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the event, Rev. Franca Nnonyelum thanked God for sufficient grace in her life, noting that it is a reward for every good servant of God who serves Him in truth and in spirit.
She said, “I feel overwhelmed and honoured. It is a huge turnout because I love my people and my people loves me. I pray that all their predicaments shall be cast away from today henceforth. As they obtain God’s divine grace and healings, they shall also go back in peace to meet their loved ones in their various homes”.
In an interview, the first son and daughter of Rev. Nnonyelum, Patrick Nnonyelum, popularly known as My Pazzy and Mrs Great-FavourAnosike, described their mother as a virtuous woman who endeavors to favour others before her loved ones.
“She always has the interest of people at heart. She is a woman of good faith and love; a symbol of a virtuous woman. She gives help to many and is loved by them. That is why you see a lot of people here today. Those she has prayed for and become their spiritual director.”
During the event, members of the church, including the birthday planning committee were seen presenting gifts to the celebrant.
Cusmos Iwuchukwu prayed for more wisdom, long life and prosperity as she lives to serve God everyday of her life, adding that the Almighty God, who she labours for even in her pains shall continue to bless her exceedingly.
